I have a white “13 macbook, I have had it for about 2 and a half years. It still work great and the battery last pretty long. I was just wondering how long people generally have their macbooks for.

also i want to know how many hours it will last without the recharger plugged in. my last battery lasted 2 years idk, it kept overheating and the battery life kept going down fast once i took out the recharger. maybe i hav to buy a new cooling system to? wht do you think. [...]

In the past 24 hours, my Toshiba laptop, which is about five years old, suddenly shuts off when the disk drive, playing games or CDs, is being used. It is plugged in; it is not using the battery, although the battery is fully charged.

I really want the new macbook pro, but its very expensive and I want it for university (At least 4 years) Currently I’m in my last year of high school and I will be starting university next year September. I’m very impatient so i didn’t really want to wait until then to buy it.

I plan on using it for general purposes along with a couple of engineering software (HyperMesh, etc.). Also, I will be using it to watch movies, listen to music and occasionally play a few games. Basically a desktop replacement laptop.
