When I’m staying at a friend’s house, that does not have internet access, which phone (UK) gives the best value for money to accomplish this?
I want to have internet access through a mobile phone and a playstation 3/ notebook.
Any setbacks using this method?
Is there a better method (without using a landline connection)?

Well, I was wondering about connecting to the internet without using a Wi-Fi network. Can I connect a cell phone to my notebook and get a high speed internet connection? How is that? Could I use it while in motion, for instance within my moving car? Thanks in advance.

I purchased a MyBat USB data cable from eBay, but it turns out that it includes a mini CD and since I can’t fit that into my MacBook Pro’s slot-loading DVD drive, I can’t use it. And plus, I’m pretty sure the software on the CD only works for Windows.
