I am trying to get the gears for the forward, neutral and reverse shaft lined up properly. I took the bottom end apart to replace the impeller. When I tried to reassemble it, the shift lever wouldn’t work.

I cannot find the shifting linkage to disconnect the lower unit to get to the water pump.

I have a 1994 2.5 175 hp mercury outboard motor on a 18-ft ranger bass boat. When I start it in the mourning it smokes real bad for a while, why does it do that? thanks

I’m trying to choose a motor for my boat, how fast do you think my boat can go with an 18 hp and only one person? The boat isn’t that deep and around 300 lbs i think. Thanks!

Where is the water intake on 1973 Johnson 65 hp outboard??? There is one vent on the very bottom but there is also a vent above the prop on the lower unit.

The water pump went out on my 1991 US Marine Force 35 HP outboard and the motor locked up. Is there a chance I can un freeze the motor and it will still run? Thanks, Robbie

I have a 15 hp outboard motor on my boat, its way too slow as is, let alone having 5 people on board. As i don’t have money at the moment to get a bigger one, is there anyway i can add a few more hp cheaply and without destroying my engine?
