I do know that for a proffesional, 1 notebook is allowed free. Do they ask for your occupational status when u carry just 1 notebook?

I have Verizon Online as an ISP in my home. I have an iMac which uses Safari to connect. I am about to buy a PC notebook (probably a Dell Inspirion) that will have wireless capability.

Currently, I installed Mac OS X in my HP pavilion dv 2130us.
I am not able to go online because my wireless card does not work for Apple system.
I found an item called “Apple Airport Extreme Wireless adapter USB” in ebay.

I’m getting myself a MacBook for college and currently my mom’s dell laptop works on a wi-fi connection (its in her room and the internet source is in the loft area where the old desktop is). Do I need AirPort to connect to her wireless network? Or is AirPort for setting up a NEW network?
