If you mean restore then click on start then all programs
    click on accessories
    click on system tools
    click on system restore.
If you mean you want to format and put a new operating system on then you will need your recovery disks or a copy of windows software with the key and access to the internet to download compatible drivers. or you could try a linux distribution. Suse 10.1 has a vast driver compatibility list.

you will need a copy of windows or you will have to uninstall all software by hand and deleter all your files.
if it wont boot and you need to reset, take the battery out and leave it out for half hour and replace. this sorts a lot of things out once in a while.
it depends why you want to reset it, chances are that if you want it reset to sell it, you will need that disk. if not you can get a dodgy windows disk and reinstall. if you do, remember to save all your drivers(driverguide toolkit)
there are no ‘magic key presses’ to reset a pc completely.
if you want to just sort it out because windows keeps letting you down, then download SUSE 10.1 LINUX for free and give bill gates the finger! it wont crash on you or get viruses, and comes with openoffice suite and all the software you will need.

Try continiuosly tapping the F2 key to enter choose how windows opens, or start in safe mode to get a basic boot going.

F2 will start the computer in DOS BIOS mode, you dont want that. Start it in safe mode by hitting F8 continuously when you turn on the power.
