I’ve been thinking of getting a macbook, but I have one question. How will I be able to access the internet if I cannot detect any wi-fi from my home? Is there some type of laptop connect card I can buy for my macbook? I would just be pointless to buy a laptop for myself and not get to use the internet because I can’t find wi-fi.

You’d need a card that would connect via a cell phone network.
First, look at what’s available from the cell phone companies in your area.
Then, talk to someone at the Apple Store.
