‘m thinking about getting a Compaq CQ60-211DX laptop tomorrow from best buy. It has a great price and it got mostly positive reviews, but the only thing holding me back is the fact that it comes with a intel celeron processor. How bad is intel celeron on new laptops and how slow will my computer be with it? If I get it I will only do basic stuff like install Avast, web surf, iTunes, and use microsoft word. I’ll only have this laptop temporarily. Please help, I don’t want to waste my money!http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…

celerons nickname is sloweron….. just take that into consideration. If you are going to have Windows Vista, this is a big no no. You want to get a reputable dual core processor… not a celeron or centrino. Dells seem to be the best when it comes to hardware, everyone else gives nice specs other than the processor.
