have it for my new computer. I called HP and they told me that it was just a text question. They would give the answer for $60.00. Have anyone ever had this problem, and can you help me?

I recommend taking the computer apart and removing the old hard drive. You can get an external case for the old hard drive, or you can install it in your new computer and get your old files from it.

remove charger and battery>if it is a laptop remove hard drive hold power button 30 secs put hard back in restart
