Any notebook that is durable, doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and has a very good video card.
Notebooks notoriously cost more. They also usually come with shitty video cards so you can’t play games on them anywhere near as well as on a desktop.
HOWEVER: Look for notebooks that have an ATI 9700, 9800, or a *good* nvidia geforce based video card. The video card needs to have at least 128MB of dedicated ram.
Also, make sure the laptop itself has at least 512mb of ram and a strong processor.
Even then a desktop with the same (or better) specs will cost less than that laptop.
Personally I really like the HP laptops that fall into these categories. I managed to get a really good one with an AMD process for just a little over $600
