I have a Toshiba Satellite that I bought in 2002, two months ago I was having power issues and found that there was a problem with the outlet. Is this easy to replace? I am mechanically inclined and have no problem taking things apart and putting back together. Is this a separate piece or is it part of the motherboard unit on this computer? Would Fry’s likely have this part?

  1. Safe Mode Says:

The outlet is soldered on the motherboard so you cannot replace it.If you want you can open the case and check if there is a crack on the pins and reheat it.It is a pain though to expose the motherboard be very careful and patient.
